My web design project for Donate Life, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting organ, tissue, and eye donation, presented a unique challenge. Three affiliated organizations, Donate Life Georgia, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, each required their own standalone bilingual website while operating on a budget. To meet this challenge within budget constraints, I devised a plan to utilize a common underlying structure for both websites. What set them apart were carefully selected photography and minimal yet impactful graphic elements. During the research phase, we unearthed a treasure trove of compelling case study photography that had remained largely untapped. This discovery inspired a fresh approach, centered around showcasing these photographs to forge a profound, personal connection with visitors. By featuring the people transformed and saved through organ donations, the design emphasized positive outcomes over needs. This approach not only revitalized the Donate Life brand but also infused the website with renewed vitality, providing visitors with a constant reminder of the profound impact of organ donation.

Prior to the design or coding phase, I develop site outlines, site maps, and comprehensive wireframes to ensure alignment with client requirements, strategic goals, and project scope. The site’s structure is designed around bite-sized, easily adaptable information chunks, facilitating multiple layout configurations for responsive design. Additionally, these wireframes serve as a content structure framework, providing copywriters with subject matter and defined parameters to work within.
After the plan is set in place, I create design directions with key pages. They act as functional mood boards for the rest of the site
