Holiday Piggy Bank Promotion
As the holiday season drew near, Walmart aimed to emphasize the importance of saving money as part of their ongoing Love Your Piggy Bank Program. They also sought to increase employee engagement in their direct deposit program. The promotion offered associates a compelling incentive of up to $50 for simply depositing $10 into the Piggy Bank feature on their Money Network app, which Walmart preferred for payroll execution. The message to associates was straightforward: set up a Piggy Bank, deposit $10, and watch your savings grow.
Collaborating closely with a copywriter and social media strategist, we crafted a festive campaign built around a playful holiday-themed pig mascot. This campaign included a dedicated website, direct mail materials, email blasts, eye-catching intranet advertising banners, a promotional T-shirt giveaway, and an assertive Facebook campaign, complete with a ‘Love Your Piggy Bank’ fan page. Across all these materials, we strategically included a call to action that guided associates to an online landing page, where they could easily follow the setup steps.
